Crossover Festival
This world music festival takes place in the Ribnjak Park in Zagreb, in cooperation with the Zagreb Tourism Board and enriches the summer offer of the Croatian metropolis. Free open-air concerts bring culture from around the world closer to the audience in an ambience beyond the city hustle and bustle, but easily accessible to all. Previous performers include French jazz pianist Cédric Hanriot, who played in the Grammy-awarded album by Diana Reeves, accompanied by the modern jazz Groovematic trio. The audience also enjoyed the performance of the Maurizio Presidente band composed of musicians from Portugal, France and German, who successfully combine genres and rhythms specific for their cultures with an accent no gypsy jazz. Visiting from neighboring Serbia was Lady Jelena, whose singles are already well known to local fans, just like those by the Kosovo band Gipsy Groove, who are already a European attraction. They shared the stage with the African band Kaira Kela, whose contagious rhythms make everyone dance. Let us mention also the incredibly entertaining Techno Vikings and the very flamboyant Mimika Orchestra. Carefully decorated catering booths thrilled both locals and tourists alike.
